Welcome to Southend Primary School Sports Association

Southend Primary School Sport Partnership (SPSSA) aims to give the young people in the borough of Southend the opportunity to access high quality physical education and school sport.

The SPSSA combines Southend West and Southend East we are 2 of 14 School Sport Partnerships in Essex working with schools to inspire, educate and empower children and young people through sport, so that all young people can reach their full potential. 

We are passionate about sport and the positive impacts physical education and school sport can have upon developing a heathy active lifestyle and creating life-long participation.

We work closely with 32 primary schools, 4 junior schools and 4 infant schools along with 13 secondary schools to provide opportunities to promote social inclusion, leadership, physical literacy, student wellbeing and competition as well as working closely with staff to ensure pupils receive high quality experiences and opportunities.

Our vision is to: Support schools in educating all pupils to be physically literate and provide them with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to create a sporting legacy.
