In September 2023 we set out to increase our SSP Eco Squad members and to share our passion and drive to help lower our carbon footprint and to help make positive changes to climate change. 

We had an incredible 115 members apply across 11 different primary schools. 

All members received the Eco Friendly pin badges and have been tasked to create an Eco display board within their school. We are also creating our first Eco code so we can share what we are and what we are aiming to do. 

In celebration of this year being an Olympic year with the Paris Olympics kicking off in July 2024. Members have been tasked to reduce, reuse and recycle Christmas items to create an artistic display linked to the Paris Olympics. These will be on display within schools and will be used at our opening ceremony at the Essex Summer Games in July.
